Weapon (dagger), Very Rare (Requires Attunement)

A dagger that bends space and time to avoid harming those the attuned's friendly with.

Wound Wormhole When this weapon would wound or harm what the attuned considers friendly with itself (including itself), a portal will open up between where the dagger enters and the opposite end of the target from the "wound". As a consequence, the friendly target takes no damage and the knife passes right through their body. Only the knife can pass through this portal.

Slash Skip When Wound Wormhole fails to protect the friendly target (i.e. both ends of the portal are blocked and it collapses), this dagger teleports to the location where it would be pulled out of the target (not where Wound Wormhole is valid again). This can be accomplished in-game by having the target actually be stabbed, and when the knife leaves their body completely time resets to just before the target was stabbed and the knife teleports to where it ends up when it left the target's body.

If this dagger cuts an unfriendly or unknown creature, it deals 1d4 piercing damage. The user does not have to be the attuned for this dagger's magical effects to activate concerning the attuned's acquaintances.
