Design Note: This feat was redesigned to allow it to scale with level, rather than being powerful early on and tapering off in the higher levels.

Heavy Armor Master

Prerequisites: Proficiency with heavy armor
You can use your armor to deflect strikes that would kill others. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Strength score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • While you are wearing heavy armor, bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage that you take from non-magical sources is reduced by your proficiency bonus. If you are wearing magical armor, you reduce the damage taken from magical sources as well.
  • You are not at a disadvantage on Stealth checks while wearing heavy armor.
