A dog made of dull steel stands before you, poison drooling from an open mouth which exposes iron teeth. Suddenly, with a chilling howl, it leaps at you.
Mechanical hounds are creatures made of steel, iron, and magic. They are often found guarding ancient ruins of the Golden Lands.
Combat
If alone, a mechanical hound goes for the most dangerous looking character and attempts to disable them. If in a pack, they surround the party and harry them until all are disabled.
- Baleful Howl (Su)
Every 2d6 rounds, a mechanical hound can unleash a chilling howl. All creatures that hear it become frightened unless they succeed on a DC 20 Will save.
- Poison (Ex)
Injury. Fortitude save DC 15, primary damage 1d4 Dex, secondary damage paralyzation.
