9th-level Necromancy | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
---|---|
Range: | 60 feet |
Components: | V, S |
Duration: | Instantaneous |
A flood of negative energy flows from you into creatures around you. All creatures of your choice within range must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 20d6 necrotic damage, and its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage, and its hit point maximum is not reduced. Damage from this spell cannot reduce a target's current or maximum hit points below 1.
