Kenjutsu Student [Lesser Style]
You practice an ancient martial art, with a key emphasis on the use of the Katana.
Prerequisite: Fighter, Ranger, Warlord or Barbarian; proficiency with the Katana
Associated weapons: Katana
Associated classes: Fighter
Benefit: You gain a +2 feat bonus to Perception checks. Kenjutsu masters emphasize readiness before a battle, to detect an enemy and strike quickly, using the proper footwork and battlefield awareness to prepare before a battle, rather than strike with the weapon alone.
When you hit an enemy with a power associated with this feat, it also takes a -1 penalty to all defenses until the end of your next turn.

Note: The Beserker qualifies as both a Martial and Primal character.
Kenjutsu Master [Greater Style]
Prerequisite: Barbarian; Kenjutsu Student
Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a Katana, you gain the following benefits.
You gain a +2 bonus to initiative. Being a Kenjutsu Master is as much about the footwork and preparation before a battle as it is about striking with your weapon.
When you hit an enemy with an attack associated with the power, it also slowed (save ends).

Prerequisite: Fighter; Kenjutsu Student
Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a Katana, you gain the following benefits.

Prerequisite: Ranger; Kenjutsu Student
Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a Katana, you gain the following benefits.
You gain a +2 bonus to initiative. Being a Kenjutsu Master is as much about the footwork and preparation before a battle as it is about striking with your weapon.
You can use the associated powers in place of a melee basic attack.
