4 Elements: Baldur's Gate 3 Edition (5e Subclass)[edit]
Monk Subclass
These monk are more specialized in using their Monk Ki Icon.png Ki to channel the elements to influence the battlefield. Rather than focusing on physical techniques that the other Monk subclasses focus on, Way of the Four Elements focuses on carrying over Wizard-equivalent spells to be a spell caster hybrid.

Ki Powered Spell Casting[edit]
At 3rd level, you can produce magical effects through your Ki.
- Cantrips
At 3rd level, you know one cantrip of your choice from the 4 elements spell list. You learn a second 4 elements cantrip at 10th level monk.
- Using Ki Points
The monk table shows how many ki points you have to cast your 4 elements spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these 4 elements spells, you must expend a Ki points equal to the spell's level + 1. The highest spell's level that you can use is shown in the Highest Spell Level column of the 4 Elements Monk Table.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell burning hands and the highest spell level is 2, you can cast burning hands as a 1st level spell by spend 2 Ki points or 2 level spell by spending 3 Ki points.
- Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher
You know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the 4 elements spell list.
The Spells Known column of the 4 Elements Monk Table. shows when you learn more 4 elements spells of your choice. Each of these spells must be of a level or lower of the highest spell level. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the 4 elements spells you know and replace it with another spell from the 4 elements spell list, which also must be of a level or lower of the highest spell level.
- Spellcasting Ability
Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your 4 elements spells, since the power of your magic powered by Ki. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a 4 elements spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier
Ki, not Weave[edit]
At 3rd level, you spells are harder to dispel. Spells cast through Ki Powered Spell Casting does not require any spell components. It is unaffected by Silence or Anti-magic Zone spells. It can be effected by dispel magic and counter magic spells.

Wizard Secrets (Optional Feature)[edit]
At 6th level, you learn some useful tricks and spells from the old wizards. You learn one spell or cantrip of your choice from the wizard's spell list. This spell counts as a 4 elements spell for you and it does not count towards the number of spells that you can know. The wizard spell must meet all the following requirements:
- It cannot be higher than your maximum spell level.
- If it deals damage, its damage type must always be fire, cold, bludgeoning, thunder, or lightning.
- If it does not deal damage, its only effects may cause creature(s) to become prone, pushed, or pulled.
- It does not have concentration
- It cannot last longer than 1 minute
- It's material component for the spell cannot have a cost.
Each time you level up, you may replace this spell with another valid wizard spell. You learn an additional spell or cantrip from the wizard's spell list at 9th, 11th, 15th, and 17th level.
