Zoltan (5e Race)

Zoltan are ancient beings made of pure electric energy closely resembling lightning. They look much like humans but do not have discernible faces. They can still wear clothes and armor. Zoltan also possess an energy color that may be chosen at will, or random.
The Zoltan are a territorial race known for their general favor of diplomacy over acts of aggression. They are deeply officious and Obtuse people but they are known for being fair and just in their dealings with others. They are a very ingenious race often designing new technology.
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence and Wisdom score each increase by 2, and your Constitution score is reduced by 2.
Age. Zoltan live until their power dies out, generally 100 years.
Alignment. Zoltan are a peaceful, diplomatic race, most tend toward Lawful Alignments.
Size. Zoltan are similar in size to humans, ranging from 5 ½ - 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Energy. Zoltan’s emit a colored light from their bodies. You shed a bright light 30 feet around you and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
Shielding. The first attack against you in combat is negated unless it is Psychic damage. Once you use this trait, you must finish a short or long rest to use it again.
Overcharge. Zoltan’s explode into a shockwave of green energy when they die. All creatures within 10 feet of you take lightning damage equal to 6 x your level.
Crackle. If a creature touches you with their skin, they take 1d4 lightning damage.
Grounded. You have resistance to lightning damage.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one of your choice.
