<Wyverian>[edit]

"Wyverians are a marvel to behold, a living testament to an ancient world where monsters and nature thrived in perfect harmony. Their wisdom and connection to the natural order are unparalleled, making them both guardians and guides in this ever-changing land."

NOTE: I have only played one Monster Hunter game (Monster hunter Stories 2) so i may not have all the lore correct. if you feel it's necessary you can flavor it differently.'

Physical Description[edit]

Wyverians superficially resemble humans, but they have several traits that suggest a wyvern ancestry. They have pointed ears, four-fingered hands, and an increased lifespan, with some Wyverians living for hundreds of years. Their skin tones often have a slightly scaled texture, hinting at their draconic lineage. Wyverians reproduce less often than humans, resulting in a smaller population, and their height varies greatly, ranging from the very small to the immense—though the latter is a rare phenomenon.

History[edit]

Wyverians are an ancient race, believed to have existed long before humans. Their origins are deeply intertwined with the world’s natural order, and they are often regarded as living links to an era when monsters and nature were in perfect harmony. Over centuries, Wyverians have accumulated vast knowledge about the world’s history, ecology, and the behaviors of monsters. They have always played the role of guardians, protecting sacred sites and relics that maintain the world’s balance. Despite their long history, Wyverians have always been a minority, preferring to live in secluded, hidden villages, away from the bustling human settlements.

Society[edit]

Wyverian society is deeply rooted in tradition and a profound respect for nature. They live in close-knit communities, often located in remote and ancient forests, mountains, or hidden valleys, where they maintain a harmonious relationship with their surroundings. Wyverians are natural scholars, sages, and historians, preserving ancient lore and guiding other races with their wisdom. Their leaders are usually the oldest and most knowledgeable members of their community, revered not just for their age but for the wisdom they have accumulated over centuries. While they are generally peaceful, Wyverians are fierce protectors of the natural world and will not hesitate to defend it from threats. Their bond with nature also extends to monsters, with some Wyverians capable of forming deep, kinship-like bonds with these creatures, understanding them in ways that other races cannot.
