Wyndians[edit]

Personality[edit]

Wyndians are not much different from humans, having a range of personalities through-out the masses of citizens. They are, however, citizens of the Kingdom of Wyndia and are more than often extremely proud of this fact. Wyndians are also very accepting of the practice and study of arcane and divine magics, except for necromancy and evil applications of any spell. Most are good-natured and shy away from actions of that may cause suffering or harm.

Physical Description[edit]

Wyndians look almost exactly like humans, only their wings giving them a different appearance from their land-locked cousins. They have similar average heights and sizes as well. There are a few differences though, for instance, blonde hair and blue eyes seem to be a common coloring for wyndians. Though any combination of colors is just as possible for a wyndian as it is for human. An average wingspan for a wyndian is 10' and most have angle-like, white feathered wings, butterfly-like wings or black wings. Being born with black (or dark blue as some are) wings are considered a bad omen, usually resulting in the wyndian child being exiled at a young age.

Relations[edit]

Wyndians get along with all races equally, being more of a diplomatic people than warrior people. They allow all kinds in and only look down on those that resort to thievery or brigand-ry to make ends meet. They are especially close with the Woren, having treaties with the clans for many years.

Alignment[edit]

Wyndians gravitate towards the Lawful Good and Neutral Good alignments, though some do slip into the Chaotic Good alignment fairly easily and there are some that are Lawful Neutral or True Neutral. However, Chaotic Neutral and any Evil are far-fetched for wyndians, but not unheard of. Most are good-hearted, and try to help those that they meet in some way or another, even going as far as traveling the world with them to accomplish a single goal.

Lands[edit]

Wyndians hail from the Kingdom and Region of Wyndia, a land of forests and mountains with several cities, town, Wyndia Castle and P'ung Ryong's tower. Wyndians prefer tall buildings or cliffs and enjoy being as high into the sky as they possibly can get. For instance, Wyndia Castle floats high above Winlan, the capital of Wyndia. Within it's borders are also a couple of other cities, Winfon and Valkyr.

Religion[edit]

Wyndians worship P'ung Ryong, the Endless of the Skies and Heaven. They also have a slight worship of the wind and air. They have ceremonies that include both for various things, and the tower of P'ung Ryong itself is used to launch a sky-boat up almost as much as the tower is tall just to for a select few to talk with P'ung Ryong as he snakes his way through the skies above the land of Wyndia.

Language[edit]

Wyndians start with the ability to speak and read Common & Wyndian. However, they tend to learn Draconic as well due to their close relationship with P'ung Ryong. They can learn any other language as well, except for secret languages.

Names[edit]

Similar to Humans, though the royal family takes the last name Wyndia, as they are representatives of the Wyndian Nation and People.
