Wingly[edit]

There was a winged species living on the Continent. Legend says that they once ruled the world.

Physical Description[edit]

Winglies appear to be humans with platinum hair, pale skin and a pair of white feathered wings.

Intelligent Combatants[edit]

In combat, winglies prefer to stay back and fire their bows (or use spells if they have them) but will engage in melee combat without hesitation when they have no other option, such as when they use all their arrows (or spell slots). They prefer to fight face-to-face with their superior speed rather than utilizing their flight capability. The only time they will use their flight in combat is when they are losing, then they will either use the third dimension to provide an attacking advantage, or they will use it to escape, depending on how hopeless the battle seems.

Winglies are by no means stupid. They will try to escape if necessary. If a wingly has any magical items, she will use them to their full extent against her opponents.

Hidden Society[edit]

Wingly society is centered around magic. Wingly cities float in the air and they are hidden in forested areas. They have protected the locations of the entrances by magical portals that are known only to and can be detected or activated only by a wingly. No wingly will ever betray the location or bring anyone of another race to the cities for any reason short of mass extinction of the winglies.

Winglies have developed a mode of magical transportation using a series of "teleportation rings" that allow them to transport from their hidden home to their original home city. Their original home is a large floating city in ruins where constructs enforce the laws for wingly-kind.

Winglies have an innate hatred of other races, especially humans. This is because they had a war long ago with humans that caused their original home to be in its current state. As a byproduct of the war, a nearby place was distorted by the magical forces used against each other. This place is known as the Valley of Corrupted Gravity and is sealed by a giant mechanism and magic. The location is known only to the descendants of the Royal Families of the winglies and the humans who fought in the war.

Wingly Names[edit]

As a race surrounded by magic, winglies tend to give their children names that have a mystical quality or sound.

Male: Bardel, Blano, Faust, Guaraha, Lloyd, Melbu, Savan

Female: Caron, Charle, Lenus, Meru, Miata, Ulara
