Aasimar Subrace[edit]

The Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide introduced the tiefling variant with wings (p.118). If there are infernal offspring with wings, then there are also celestial offspring with more permanent wings. This subrace replaces the Dungeon Master's Guide's aasimar, page 286. The winged aasimar is a subrace of the aasimar that has protruding wings from its shoulder blades much like the tieflings wings. The key difference is these wings, unlike the bat like tieflings wings, are feathered. The wings also change color based of the characters alignment; If a character is an evil character then they will have black colored wings spewing black essence, and if the character is a good aligned character then they will have blinding white feathers. If the character is a neutral character then they will have plain gray feathers. With training you can also control when the wings come out. Good aligned players eyes will also turn a shining white when they pull their wings out and evil aligned players eyes will go pitch black or dark red while neutral aligned stay the same color. All of the Winged Aasimar are able to pull in and out their wings on command. While some like to hide it some don’t care about who sees them.
