Wilderness (5e Skill)

From D&D Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Wilderness is a skill.

Your Intelligence (Wilderness) check measures your ability to recall lore about terrain, plants and animals, the weather, and natural cycles.

Your Wisdom (Wilderness) check measures your ability to gain insight into flora and fauna, hunt wild game, guide your group through hazardous terrain, or avoid quicksand and other natural hazards.

Your Wisdom or Charisma (Wilderness) check measures your ability to influence or persuade animals, handle animals, or soothe beasts.

Whenever you would become proficient in Animal Handling, Nature, or Survival, you can become proficient in the Wilderness skill instead.

Design Note: This skill is meant to merge and expand default skills that in some campaigns don't see much use. It pairs well with Lore.
