- Oak Soul
3 level feature Wild Trickster
You have gained an inexplicable connection to nature, being able to control trees, roots and plants to protect, trap and attack. You gain points equal to twice your proficiency bonus that are used to use your ability's spells. You learn the cantrips: Thorn Whip, Earth Shape, and Poison Blast in addition to the spells: Good Berry, Constrict, Heal Wounds, Arcane Shield, Constrictor Strike, Sleep, and Earthquake. Each spell costs 1 point, additionally you can spend 1 more point to raise the spell's level if the spell has that option. You can now apply Sneak Attack on the Whip of Thorns, but you still have to meet the conditions to activate it. Good Berry can be cast at its normal cost, but only once a day. You regain all spent points after a long rest. You can also regain half your proficiency bonus as points after a short rest, you can only use this recovery once per long rest.
- DC for your spells = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier
- Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier
- Wild Connection
3 level feature Wild Trickster
You can focus your awareness through nature's connections: you learn new spells when you reach certain levels in this subclass, if you don't already have them, as shown in the Wild Connection Spells table. These spells do not count against your number of Wild Trickster spells known.
Rogue Level | Spells |
---|---|
3 | speak with animals |
5 | Bestial Awareness |
9 | speak with plants |
13 | locate creature |
17 | commune with nature |
You can cast each of these spells once without spending points. Once you cast the spell this way, you can only do it again until the end of a long rest.
- Oak Shield
9 level feature Wild Trickster
With a reaction, you can create an Oak Shield that protects you and an ally within 10 feet of you, causing you to gain resistance to certain area effects, such as a red dragon's flaming breath or an ice storm spell. Additionally, you can shield an additional ally within 60 feet of your line of sight by spending 1 additional point for each target.
- Veil of Nature
13 level feature Wild Trickster
You use the powers of nature to briefly hide. As a bonus action, you can magically become invisible, along with whatever equipment you are wearing or carrying, for 10 minutes. Nature's Veil ends prematurely if you attack or cast a spell. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses when you finish a long rest.
- Oak Body
17 level feature Wild Trickster
Your connection to nature became so strong that you started to be a part of it, you can now activate Oak Body as a bonus action 3 times per long rest. The duration is 10 minutes, and requires concentration.
Roots and vines spread through your body forming almost like a second armor, your hair takes on a green color and some leaves grow between them and you gain the following benefits:
- You make Constitution and Wisdom checks with advantage.
- While you are on the ground, the ground less than 15 feet from you becomes difficult terrain for your enemies.
- Your AC increases by +1 and you gain resistance against piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning attacks.
- You can locate hostile creatures touching the ground out to 320 feet.
You add the spells: nature's wrath and treewalking to the Oak Soul options, at a cost of 6 points to cast each.
