Wild Soul Origin (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Wild Soul Origin[edit]
Sorcerer Origin
You are a son of the forest, drawing your inherited magic comes from the natural environments. Some Wild Souls are heirs from the blood of dryads running trough their veins, while others have been born in forests infused with natural magic, such as druid grooves, or places guarded by ancient treants. The power of nature causes flowers to bloom and plants to sprout from seeds, and even your body is covered by leaves and bark. You cause life to grow even in the most arid of the grounds, and carry the power of the forest inside your own soul.
- Natural Spells
Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Natural Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
Sorcerer Level | Spells |
---|---|
1st | goodberry, snare, druidcraft |
3rd | barkskin, spike growth |
5th | plant growth, speak with plants |
7th | grasping vine, guardian of nature |
9th | commune with nature, wrath of nature |
- Wild Cantrips
Starting at 1st level, you can draw from the power of nature to cast spells. Druid cantrips are considered sorcerer cantrips, for the purposes of the cantrips you can learn.
In addition, you can use a special bonus action to cast these cantrips. You can cast these cantrips using a bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain your uses after completing a long rest.
- Tree Step
Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to enter a tree and move from inside it to inside another tree within 60 feet, using a bonus action. Both trees must be living and at least the same size as you. You must use 5 feet of movement to enter a tree. You instantly know the location of all other trees of the same kind within 30 feet and, as part of the move used to enter the tree, can either pass into one of those trees or step out of the tree you’re in.
You appear in a spot of your choice within 5 feet of the destination tree, using another 5 feet of movement. If you have no movement left, you appear within 5 feet of the tree you entered.
- Forest Mantle
At 14th level, you can merge with the natural environment, camouflaging yourself. As an action, when you are in a forest, or within 5 feet of a plant with your size or larger, you can become invisible. You remain invisible until you make an attack, cast a spell, or are no longer within 5 feet of a plant.
- Wild Rage
At 18th level, you can unleash the rage of nature upon your enemies. Whenever you cast a spell from your Natural Spells list, you can use your reaction to cast a druid cantrip you know.
