Whirlwind[edit]
A man is pushed against a wall by a thug from the bar. Some other thugs crowd the alley. Suddenly, his eyes are filled with storm clouds.. A whirlwind forms underneath him. He flies up and away from the alley. Whirlwinds are masters of Air, and children of the wind. Quite literally. They are born of pure wind.
Physical Description[edit]
Whirlwinds look like humans.
History[edit]
Whirlwinds originated from a Plane of Air/Ethereal Plane/Material Plane mix. Some Ether Winds
Society[edit]
Whirlwinds just mix in with human society.
Whirlwind Names[edit]
Whirlwinds usually have, well, airy names.
Male: Storm, Tempest, Cyclone.
Female: Ether Winds, Breeze, Gale.
Whirlwind Traits[edit]
Whirlwinds are the children of the Ether Winds.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Age. Whirlwinds mature at 10 years old, and live to be about 100
Alignment. Whirlwinds are most often neutral.
Size. Whirlwinds, like humans, vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 35ft feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Fleet Footed. Once per long rest, as a reaction to being attacked, you can add 5 to your AC, before you know whether or not the attack hit.
Airy. Your type is elemental. You do not need to eat, sleep, or drink.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Auran.
Subrace. Choose between Guster and True Whirlwind.
Guster[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by one. As usual, you cannot go above 20 with this feature.
Fly. You gain a flying speed of 50ft.
True Whirlwind[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by one.
Whirlwind. As an action, you can summon a whirlwind that gives you a flying speed of 40ft for 2d10 hours. This can be dismissed or summoned back within the duration as a bonus action. Anyone who comes within 10ft of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Strength score or fall prone. You must take two long rests before regaining use of this feature.
