A wereflame can be cast a short range to create a small but hot ball of flame which gives out no smoke and very little light. This flame is suitable for heating a pot or cauldron, lighting a pipe or candle, or lighting a fire, torch or brazier. If targeted at a creature, it will deal 1d4 points of fire damage, regardless of caster level.
You point your finger and determine the range (distance and height) at which the wereflame is to appear. A ball of blue flame will bloom at the spot indicated, and burn steadily without consuming any fuel for the duration given or until dismissed.
