Way of the Winds[edit]

Monk Subclass

Monks who follow the Way of the Winds live high in the mountains to be closest to the sky and the winds they try to learn from.
They listen to the whispers of the mystical winds, comming from the elemntal plane of air, that can only be heard high above the clouds.
In the first years of training they learn its teachings by heart and can recite every single one of them while sleeping, after 5 years on the mountain tops they go on travels to discover the world and themselves while learning to understand the teachings they have learned by heart.

Whispering Winds
listeing to the whispers of the mystical winds from the elemtal plane of air you learn to understand the laguange they speak and you gain small insights into how their culture works. At 3rd level you learn to speak read and write auran and you have advantage on checks made to recall or act in a cretain manner tied to the culture of the elemental plane of air.

Mountain Aptitude
As a Monk of the Way of the Winds you grew up on mountains peaks high above the clouds, as such at 3rd Level you are acclimated to high altitudes, this includes elevations above 20000 ft. You have no problems breathing in high altitudes, and you have advantage on checks and saves made to resist the effects of strong winds.

Swift as the Wind
At 3rd Level, you move with the speed of the wind. The movement speed granted by your unarmored movement is doubled.
Also when you take the dash action using your Step of the Wind feature, your movement speed is tripled instead of doubled.

Freedom of the Winds
At 6th Level you understand how to move like the wind. No attack against you has advantage as long as you are conscious. In addition, when you use Step of the Wind, you gain the benefits of the freedom of movement spell until the end of your turn if you are not underwater.

Walk with the Winds
At 11th level, you gain a flying speed equal to our walking speed.
Your flying speed only works in short bursts, as such if you end your turn above the ground you fall down to the ground.
In addition, when you use your Patient Defense feature to take the Dodge action, you no longer need to spend a ki point to do so.

Run with the Winds
At 17th level, your flying speed increases to twice your movements speed, and you no longer fall down at the end of your turn.
Additionally opportunity attacks that are caused by your movement using your flying speed are made with disadvantage.
