Way of the Time Master[edit]

Monk Subclass

Monks who follow the time master tradition have the ability to use their ki to see trough and control the flow of time. Their monasteries are filled with vast libraries, were their historians catalog world events that happened in a far past - and ponder on the possibilities for futures that are yet to come. These monks outside fighting are a mixture between researchers and oracles, influencing important events to further the monastery own goals.

In combat, the monks use a style that combine the ability to predict enemies movements on a near future with the ability to interfere with the flow of time, becoming a frustrating an dangerous foe to face in battle.

Time Knowledge

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in History. If you have proficiency in this skill already, you can double your proficiency bonus for any checks you make with it.

In addition, you can add your Wisdom modifier, rather than your Intelligence, to your Intelligence (History) checks.

Time Blur

Also at 3rd level, you can use a bonus action to spend 3 Ki points to begin to shift through time. While you do this, all attack rolls have disadvantage against you for 1 minute, or until you lose concentration (as if concentrating on a spell).

Time Spells

At 6th level, you can spend 4 Ki Points to cast slow or haste, using Wisdom as your spellcasting ability.

Time Shifts

At 11th level, you can manipulate the flow of time in the manners described below:

  • As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point and disappear backwards in time and appear, negating the effects of a past event. You can choose one of the following events that have happened since your last turn, and negate its negative consequences: a failed saving throw or damage taken during one turn. If the event negated caused you to suffer damage, you regain hit points equal to the damage taken. In addition, you teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet.
  • You see failure in the future and avoid the action before failing on it. When you use Flurry of Blows and miss an attack or Stunning Strike and the target succeeds the save, you can use a reaction to recover the ki point used to activate that feature.
  • As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point and cause a fragment of your mind disappears forwards in time and appears in an unoccupied space within 30 feet of your current position, a few moments in the future. Until the start of your next turn, you have advantage on Saving Throws, and attack rolls against you have disadvantage.
Fluid Time

At 17th level, you can spend 12 Ki points to cast foresight. Once you cast this spell, you can't do it again until you finish a long rest.
