Way of the Sword Master[edit]

Monk Subclass

Sword Masters are martial artists that spend their life mastering fighting techniques with weapons, most of them are training with swords or katanas, but sometimes they choose other weapons, like sabers, pole-arms, or even axes. Masters never stop studying new techniques in order to hone their skills

Chosen Weapon.

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level choose one weapon. This weapon type will be your Chosen Weapon. These weapon type can be any Simple or Martial weapon that lacks the Heavy and Special properties. You gain proficiency with this weapon type if you don't already have it, and your Chosen Weapon is also considered to be a Monk Weapon. When you reach 6th level in this class, you can choose another type of weapon, following the criteria above.


Weapon Techniques.

Starting at 3rd level, you become adept on the use of fighting techniques to hone your fighting abilities, that can be used for diverse purposes.

Weapon KI. You can spend 2 ki point as an action to imbue your weapon with ki for 1 minute allowing that weapon to deal extra damage equal to your Martial Arts die.

Weapon Arc. You can spend 1 ki point as an action to swing your weapon around hitting all enemies in a 5 foot radiuses around you forcing them to make a dexterity saving throw dc equal to 8 + proficiency + dex mod, on a fail they take your damage and half that damage on a success.

Weapon Versatility. When you use your flurry of blows, you can make attacks with a monk weapon, instead of using a unarmed strike.


Pacing Strike.

Starting at 6th level, If you are wielding your Chosen weapon in one hand and have your offhand free you gain a +2 bonus to your ac.

In addition, when you end your turn without moving willingly you roll your martial arts dice and gain the result as temp hp.


Refine Yourself, refine the weapon.

Starting at 11th level, your skills with the blade is truly outstanding, to the point were you can refine yourself like a blade. whenever you make a ability check you may expend 3 ki points to add your martial arts dice to the roll after you roll but before you know the result.


Jigoku Itto-Ryu

At 17th level, your mastery of weapons lets you ender a trance in where only the weapons desire fore violence guides your actions. As an action you may enter this trance for 1 minute and while in this trance you gain the following benefits. whenever you attack an enemy that is missing any Hotpoint then that attack is done at advantage. additionally when you attack an enemy with advantage you add your wisdom modifier to your damage.
