- Furtive Training
Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Stealth and with Thieves' Tools.
In addition, you learn how to cast the message spell. When you cast this spell, you don't need any components.
- Silent Step
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you become able to walk unseen and unheard by anyone. Whenever you use your Step of the Wind ki feature, you can cause the area within 20 feet of you become silent, as if under the effect of the silence spell, until the start of your next turn.
In addition, you can spend 1 ki point as an action to cast the silence spell.
- Sudden Strike
Also at 3rd level, when you hit a creature with an attack you had a advantage, you deal additional damage equal to your martial arts die and the creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your ki save DC or is unable to speak until the end of your next turn.
In addition, when you use a sudden strike, you can spend 1 additional ki point to deal additional damage equal to two rolls of your martial arts die. If you do so the creature is unable to speak even on a successful save, and can't move until the start of their next turn on a failed one.
- Ghost Step
At 6th level, whenever you use your Silent Step, you can choose to also become ethereal, as if the etherealness spell have been cast on you, lasting until the end of your turn or until you choose to end it, without spending an action.
In addition, you can use your sudden strike while ethereal. Doing so causes all the damage to become force damage and the attack is a critical. Doing this ends etherealness on you.
- Deafening Silence
Starting at 11th level, you can't be detected by senses other than sight, and you are always under the effects of the nondetection spell.
In addition, when you are under the effects of your Silent Step, you become invisible. Whenever you take the Attack action while invisible due to the effect of silent step, you only become visible after finishing the action (instead of the attack).
- Ghostly Assassin
At 17th level, you learn how to make yourself intangible for a moment, avoiding strikes. Whenever you a hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to become ethereal until the resolution of that attack. The attacker takes force damage equal to your martial arts die when you do so.
