Way of the Raging Spirit[edit]

Monk Subclass

Monks who unlock the Raging Spirit train to unlock the hidden strengths possessed by all sentient beings. The Raging Spirit harnesses the natural power and raw ferocity of the body. Combined with powerful rituals and fueled by ki, the Raging Spirit transforms your body into the ultimate animal. You strike with the full force of nature, and with the grace and precision of martial arts.

Monks whom posses the raging spirit share a vision that channeled rage is the greatest weapon in martial arts. They hold control and chaos in a delicate balance within themselves, letting loose unbridled fury with every movement. This balance is what the monks seek to master. Viewing that mastery of our inner demon is the only way to truly master one’s self, by being both the monster and the master.

Ki Infused Rage

Starting at 3rd level, you can purposefully unbalance your ki, causing you to enter in an uncontrollable state of whirling power. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 ki points to enter in this enraged state for 1 minute. For the duration, you add a bonus to your damage rolls with unarmed strikes equal to a roll of your martial arts die.

If you are able to cast spells, you can’t cast them or concentrate on them while raging. Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on your turn as a bonus action.

In addition, once per turn, during your rage, you can use Flurry of Blows or Patient defense (choose one) without spending ki.

Enraged Agility

At 6th level, you can increase your agility and power even further while enraged. When you enter in your Ki Infused Rage, or while the rage is active (without using an action), you can spend 2 additional ki points to enter in the Enraged Agility state, which grants you advantage to your Dexterity checks, saving throws, and attack rolls.

In addition, while Enraged Agility is active, you can take Step of the Wind without spending any ki.

Furious Resilience

At 11th level, while you have both Ki Infused Rage and Enraged Agility active, you can improve your endurance and resilience, by spending 3 ki points (without requiring an action). Doing so gives you resistance to bludgeoning, slashing and piercing damage, for the duration of the rage.

Indomitable Rage

At 17th level, your rage knows no bounds and has very few limits. Once per long rest, you may enter a full rage, which includes Ki infused rage, Enraged Agility, and Furious resilience, without spending any ki, using a bonus action.
