Way of the Phoenix: Divine Flame of Hestia[edit]

Monastic tradition

The Way of the Phoenix is a monk archetype that embodies the divine essence of the phoenix, drawing on the powers bestowed by Hestia, the goddess of the hearth and home. Monks who follow this path harness radiant and fire abilities, embracing the themes of rebirth, resilience, and transformation. They are capable of devastating attacks while also providing healing and support to themselves in combat.

Level 3: Phoenix’s Embrace[edit]

Radiant Strike When you hit with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon, you can spend 1 Ki point to deal radiant or fire damage equal to twice your Wisdom modifier. This damage is added to the normal damage of the attack.

Burning Vitality When you take damage from any source, you can use your reaction to convert that damage to fire, gaining temporary HP equal to half the damage taken.

Flame-Blessed Resilience You gain resistance to fire and radiant damage. When you finish a short rest, you can also heal for twice your monk level.

Level 6: Wings of the Inferno[edit]

Phoenix Flight As a bonus action, you can spend 2 Ki points to gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed for 1 minute. While flying, you can leave a trail of fire that burns for 1 round, dealing fire damage equal to your monk level to any creature that enters it.

Inferno Burst Once per turn, when you hit with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon, you can spend 2 Ki points to explode with radiant flames in a 10-foot radius. All creatures within range take fire and radiant damage equal to your monk level (DEX save for half) and are blinded until the end of their next turn on a failed save.

Level 11: Phoenix Rebirth[edit]

Divine Resurrection When you drop to 0 HP, you can spend 5 Ki points to immediately revive with all your HP restored, engulfed in radiant fire. Every creature within 30 feet takes fire and radiant damage equal to three times your monk level, and is pushed back 15 feet (DEX save for half and no push). You can use this ability once per short rest.

Unyielding Flame When you are reduced to below half your HP, your attacks gain a +2 bonus to hit and deal an additional 1d10 fire or radiant damage. This effect lasts until your HP is fully restored.

Level 17: Phoenix Ascendant[edit]

Hestia’s Phoenix Form As an bonus action, you transform into a Divine Phoenix for 1 minute. During this form:

Phoenix Strike: All your unarmed strikes and weapon attacks are empowered with radiant and fire damage, adding 6d10 to each attack.

Immolate: At the start of each of your turns, creatures within 20 feet automatically take 3d10 fire and 3d10 radiant damage.

Invincibility: You are immune to all damage for the first turn after activation, and you are immune to fire, radiant, and necrotic damage for the duration.

Radiant Revival: If you are reduced to 0 HP during this transformation, you automatically revive with 1 HP, causing an explosion of divine flames in a 50-foot radius. All creatures must make a DEX save or take 10d10 fire and radiant damage, or half as much on a success.
