Monk Subclass
Sleep is but a concept, one that you can't even dream off. As a monk, you've decided to sever your body's need to gain energy from recharging. By doing so you've lost a weakness almost every race has... sleep.
- No Rest for the Weary
At 3rd Level, you start to persevere through your natural urges to rest. Rather than sitting still and rejuvenating after a period of time, you find it more beneficial to never stay in one place. You don't suffer the effects of 2 levels of exhaustion or lower. This increases to 3 levels of exhaustion at 6th level, 4 at 11th level and 5 at 17th level.
In addition, you gain a bonus to your attacks and damage rolls equal to the amount of exhaustion levels you currently have.
- Unending Battle
At the 6th level, you become more resistant to the downsides of sleep deprivation as you learn to release it onto your opponent or shield your allies from it. Upon landing a critical hit with an unarmed strike you force your target to gain a level of exhaustion. Additionally, as an action, you can remove an exhaustion level from an ally. This feature can be used after an attack hits a number of times up to your proficiency bonus.
Finally, you can't be forced to sleep by normal or magical means.
- Standing Ecstasy
Upon reaching the 11th level, your body greatly uses your own exhaustion as fuel. As an action, you can reduce your exhaustion levels in 1 to regain a number of hit points equal to your Monk level.
- Enigma
At 17th level, you no longer die when you reach 6 levels of exhaustion. Additionally, as a bonus action, you can recover from a level of exhaustion to gain 4 ki points. You can't have more ki points than your maximum.
