Way of the Lone Star[edit]

This is a monk subclass.

Monks of the Way of the Lone Star are followers of the god Ilmater and are taught to embody his compassion, selflessness, and endurance with a particular focus on the writings and training methods of Saint Sollar the Twice Martyred, also known as the Lone Star, the prime avatar of Ilmater.

Students undergo an extensively strenuous training centered around enduring suffering without breaking and are molded in take action against those who cause it. To the oppressed and downtrodden, the monks of the Yellow Rose are known as guardians and champions. To tyrants and the enemies of Ilmater, they are feared for their relentless pursuit and near indestructibility.

This monastic tradition is intended for an elite rank of monks of the Yellow Rose Monastery as described in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide with the minimum prerequisites of 15 Wisdom and 15 Dexterity and who often have been personally touched and physically marked by Saint Sollar himself.

Steadfast Body

At 3rd level, having 0 hit points doesn’t knock you unconscious. You still must make death saving throws, and you suffer the normal effects of taking damage while at 0 hit points.

In addition, whenever you take damage, you can spend any amount of ki to reduce the damage taken by 5 points per ki point spent.

Martyrdom

At 6th level, you use your selflessness to protect others from harm. When a creature within 10 feet takes damage, you can use your reaction to magically take that damage, instead of that creature taking it. This feature doesn't transfer any other effects that might accompany the damage, and this damage can't be reduced in any way.

The range of this ability increases to 30 feet at 18th level.

Unbroken Body

At 11th level, the pain brings you closer to the divine. For each 10 hit points you lose on a single turn, you regain 1 ki point.

In addition, whenever you are at 0 hit points, you can use any of your ki features that cost 1 ki point without spending any ki.

Twice Martyred

When you reach the 17th level, trough following carefully the teachings of Saint Sollar's, you have finally become capable of realizing the ultimate miracle of martyrdom. When you are killed when using your Martyrdom feature, you return to life, with all your hit points.

If you use this feature a second time, on the same day, you lose the ability to use this feature, being unable to use it again, and you return to life as a saint.

When you become a saint, your creature type change to celestial, and you grow a pair of wings, that grant you a movement speed of 30 feet.

You also no longer need to drink, eat, breath or sleep, and you no longer age. If you die, you can't be resurrected. Your spirit are sent to mount celestia, and you can return trough the normal means of planar traveling.
