Way of the Giant's Flame[edit]
Monk Subclass
You follow a monastic tradition that teaches you to harness the fire of Surtur. When you focus your ki, you can align yourself with the essence of the Lord of the Fire Giants and bend his fire to your will, using it as an extension of your body. Many monks of this tradition tattoo their bodies with representations of Surtur's Flaming Greatsword, hellhounds or some form of forge iconography.
Fire Arts[edit]
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain resistance to Fire damage and you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast flame blade and heat metal, without providing material components. Additionally, you gain the fire bolt and produce flame cantrips if you don’t already know it.
Flaming Strikes[edit]
Also at 3rd level, you can spend a Ki point to partially set yourself ablaze. For the next minute, your Unarmed strikes, as well as attacks with Monk Weapons deal additional Fire damage equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die.
O, Cleansing Flame![edit]
Once you reach 6th level in this class, you can spend 3 Ki points to set your body ablaze, shedding bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. The flames don't harm you and for the next 10 minutes you gain the following bonuses:
- You gain Resistance to Cold damage and Immunity to Fire damage.
- Any creature that moves within 5 feet of you for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there takes 1d10 fire damage.
Firestorm of the Giants[edit]
At 11th level, you can conjure up roaring firestorm appears 30 foot diameter and 60 feet tall cylinder centered on you. Each creature in the area when the storm appears must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki Save DC. It takes a number of rolls of your Martial Arts die 10d6 Fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On each subsequent turns, any creatures that start their turn inside the storm take Fire damage equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die.
The fire damages objects in the area and ignites flammable objects that aren't being worn or carried.
