Way of the Expanse[edit]

Monk Subclass

Choosing to specialize in expansion allows the monk to outwardly project their soul. This projection is shown as an area that gives boosts to the monk and cripples hostiles.

Soul Expansion

Starting at 3rd level, you can spend 2 ki points as an Action to expand your soul, creating a sphere of 10-foot radius around you, that lasts for 1 minute. The radius grow in 5 feet whenever your Unarmored Movement improves. When you activate the expanse and as a bonus action in each subsequent turn, you can use your bonus action to teleport to a place you can see inside the expanse area.

While the expanse is active, once per turn when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you cause additional damage with your unarmed strikes equal to your martial arts die. You also gain temporary hit points equal to a roll of your martial arts die when you activate this feature, and at the start of your turn in each subsequent turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) and regain your uses after finishing a long rest.

Harmful Path

At 6th level, your gain the ability to shape your expanse to help in the fight. Your domain becomes difficult terrain for hostile creatures.

In addition, you can forgo one of your attacks to close the expanse on a creature within the area, forcing it to the ground. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your ki save DC, or fall prone. If you knock a creature prone using this feature, you can also attempt to stun the creature using your Stunning Strike.

Ascended Soul

At 11th level, you can activate your Soul Expansion with a bonus action. In addition, all friendly creatures of your choice within 10 feet also gain the bonus in damage granted by the feature while in the area.

Remote Expansion

When you reach the 17th level, you can create your soul expansion in a point you can see within 120 feet, rather than in an area around you.
