Way of the Elemental Soul[edit]
Monk Subclass
The body is said to be made up of multiple elements in the body. Those who follow this way, discover the truth behind this believe and use it in the battlefield.
- Elemental Fist
When gaining this tradition at 3rd level you can change the damage type dealt to your target. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can choose to cause elemental damage, instead of bludgeoning. This damage is acid, cold, fire, lightning or thunder.
- Body Empowerment
Also at 3rd level, you're able to access the elements within yourself at greater levels. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can expend 1 ki point to cause additional damage equal to two rolls of your martial arts die. The damage is acid, cold, fire, lightning or thunder. If you use Elemental Fist, the additional damage is from the same type of the chosen for Elemental Fist.
- Body of the Elements
When you reach 6th level you gain an element that can withstand the power of the elements. When you finish a short or a long rest, you can choose to gain resistance to one of the following damage types: acid, cold, fire, lightning or thunder.
You can replace the chosen type by spending 1 ki point as a bonus action.
- Elemental Channeling
When you reach 11th level, you learn how to force an element's power directly through your body. As an action, choose one of the damage types available with your Body Empowerment feature. You can hurl a energy blast in a point you can see within 120 feet.
All creatures within 20-foot of the point of impact (except you) must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or take damage from the chosen type equal to two rolls of your martial arts die on a failure, or half as much on a success.
- Elemental Embodiment
Starting at 17th level, your body has adapted to be infused with the elements in the body. You gain the following features:
- You no longer need to breathe, eat, or sleep.
- Extreme temperatures have no effect on yourself.
- When you use your Elemental Channeling, you can spend up to 4 ki points, increasing the radius of the explosion in 10 feet and the damage in one roll of your martial arts die for each ki point spent.
