Way Of The Disdainful Stroke[edit]

Monk Subclass

While many monks train to improve themselves, those who follow the Way of the Disdainful Stroke train to be better than others. Through this near-sighted superiority, their powers are channeled, allowing them to perform miraculous acts of strength against those the find lesser.

Superiority Strike

Starting at 3rd level, once every turn, when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike granted by Flurry of Blows, you may choose one of the following effects.

  • If your movement speed is higher than the target's, they cannot target you with opportunity attacks until the start of your next turn.
  • If your AC is higher than the target's, they take a negative to all attack rolls against you equal to half your Proficiency bonus, rounded down, until the start of your next turn.
  • If your Wisdom score is higher than the target's, they are frightened of you until the start of your next turn.
Coward Hunter

No weakling shall escape your grasp. Starting at 6th level, when a creature within 5 feet of you moves away from you, you may use your reaction to move up to half your movement speed towards them.

Strength Leech

When reducing your enemies to broken pieces, you gain some small power from their battered bodies. Starting at 11th level, when you reduce a creature to 0 hitpoints, you gain a ki point.

Parasitic Supremacy

At the height of your power, you can steal from the power of others and grant it to yourself. At 17th level, when a creature fails your Stunning Strike saving throw, you may spend 7 ki points and immediately cast supremacy at 8th level on them, as if they already failed the save. This is in addition to the normal effects of Stunning Strike. You may do this once, and regain this use after finishing a long rest.
