From D&D Wiki
Way of the Demon’s Fury[edit]
Monk Subclass
You have embraced the chaotic essence of your lineage, channeling the raw power of demons and otherworldly forces. This path, known as the Way of the Demon's Fury, allows you to wield your inner fury as a weapon, transforming your physical prowess into an unstoppable force.
Through rigorous training and an unbreakable bond with your demonic heritage, you have learned to harness the primal instincts that reside within you. As you unleash your wrath upon your foes, the very fabric of reality trembles in response. Whether you seek redemption or revel in destruction, the fury of the demon within you fuels your every action, granting you unparalleled strength and agility in the heat of battle.
Demon Body[edit]
Starting at 3rd level, your intense training in harnessing the chaotic power within you grants you heightened physical prowess. You gain proficiency in either Acrobatics, Athletics, or Intimidation (your choice). If you are already proficient in all these skills, you can choose one to gain expertise instead, doubling your proficiency bonus when making checks with that skill.
Infernal Striker[edit]
Starting at 3rd level, your unarmed strike damage increases as follows:
Character Level | Damage die |
---|---|
3rd | 1d8 |
5th | 2d8 |
11th | 3d8 |
14th | 4d8 |
17th | 5d8 |
Your hands transform into claws, allowing you to deal Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage of your choice. These strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks. Additionally, when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can expend 1 Ki point to deal Fire, Poison, or Necrotic damage of your choice, instead of the normal damage type.
Bloodbound Fury[edit]
At 3rd level, you can enter a state of Bloodbound Fury that heightens your aggression and enhances your unarmed strikes. As a bonus action, you can spend 3 Ki points to activate Bloodbound Fury for 1 minute. While in this state, you gain the following benefits:
- You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
- Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d4 damage.
- You can make an additional unarmed strike as part of your Attack action similar to the Extra Attack feature.
You can extend the duration of Bloodbound Fury by performing the following actions:
- Attacking: Each time you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can extend the duration by 1 round.
- Receiving Damage: If you take damage from a creature, the duration is extended by 1 round.
- Being Near Enemies: If you are within 5 feet of two or more enemies at the start of your turn, you can extend the duration by 1 round.
This effect ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if you choose to end it as a bonus action. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus (minimum of 1) and regain all expended uses after a long rest.
Fury Unleashed[edit]
At 6th level, your Bloodbound Fury becomes even more potent. While in this state:
- The additional damage from your unarmed strikes increases to 1d6.
- You can make an additional unarmed strike as part of your Flurry of Blows.
- When you activate Bloodbound Fury, you can expend an additional 1 Ki point to gain temporary hit points equal to your monk level + your wisdom modifier.
