Way of the Cheesy Soul[edit]

Monk Subclass

Some monks follow much more traditional paths, such as hiding in the shadows, attuning to the elements of the world around them, and discovering their astral self. Some monks, however, follow a much more secretive, exclusive, and tastier path- the Way of the Cheesy Soul. These monks harness the power of lactose and channel it into something much more than what it was originally. They heal and harm people with the power of lactose, and they prove deadly adversaries on the culinary battlefield and the combat battlefield.

Spiritual Cheddar

You have learned how to turn dairy into ki, and ki into dairy. Starting when you take this subclass at 3rd level, whenever you consume cheese, you regain ki points. You regain one ki point for each 1/2 pound of cheese you eat. In addition, you can spend one ki point to create a half of a pound of magical cheese. When someone eats this cheese, they regain hit points equal to your martial arts die. All your magical cheese disappears after a long rest.

Blue Cheese Blows

You have learned to enhance your unarmed strikes with the power of dairy. Whenever you use Flurry of Blows, you can spend 2 ki points to make your strikes extra cheesy. When you hit with a cheesy unarmed strike, the target must make a Constitution saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a failed save, their movement speed is halved and they have disadvantage on attack rolls until the effect ends, as they double over with abdominal cramps. They may repeat the saving throw at the start of each of their turns, ending the effect on a sucess.

Swiss Step

Starting at 6th level, you can pierce through the earth like you can pierce your fingers through the holes in swiss cheese. As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 30 feet away from you to a place you can see.

Gouda Grasp

When you reach 11th level, you learn how to turn people lactose intolerant with just a touch. When you hit a creature with a cheesy unarmed strike, you can turn them lactose intolerant. For 1 minute, they have disadvantage on all saving throws against your ki save DC. In addition, if they eat any dairy product or are hit by your cheesy unarmed strikes, they take 2d10 necrotic damage. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Aura of American

When you reach 17th level, you have reached the pinnacle of cheesiness. You give off a cheesy aura in a 15-foot radius of you. Every creature of your choice that starts their turn in this aura regains hit points equal to your martial arts die. In addition, creatures hostile to you must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they suffer the effects of a cheesy unarmed strike. If a lactose intolerant creature enters this aura or starts their turn in this aura, they take 2d10 necrotic damage.
