Walking the way of the blade dancer means preferring finesse over brute strength. It means dodging and diving through waves of foes, slicing each one down. It means acrobatically dancing around a giant's punches before felling it. It means wielding two blades at the same time as extensions of your very being. Monks who follow this tradition wield blades as extensions of their bodies, with elegance and finesse, that often hides the deadliness disguised by gracious movements.

Dancing Blades

Starting at 3rd level, you gain mastery over blades. You gain proficiency with the scimitar, if you don't have it already. In addition, whenever you engage in two-weapon fighting, you add your ability modifier to the bonus action attack. When you use your Flurry of Blows while engaged in two-weapon fighting, you can make attacks using the weapons, instead of unarmed strikes.

Finally, you gain proficiency in the Performance and Acrobatics skills. You can add your Dexterity to any performance check you make while you are able to move and wielding a monk weapon.

Flurry of Swords

At 3rd level, you can cleave trough your opponents with swiftness. You can spend 2 ki points to make a flurry of swords as a bonus action. Doing so allow you to attack three times with a weapon you wield while engaged in two-weapon fighting. The first attack you make as part of this flurry have Advantage.

Dance of Battle

Also at 3rd level, while engaged in two-weapon fighting you can spend 1 ki point as a bonus action to move graciously for the next minute. For the duration, your movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks. Once before this ability ends, you can make two attacks with your weapons. On a hit, you cause additional damage equal to your martial arts die. Whether you hit or miss, your walking speed increases by 30 feet until the end of that turn. The dance ends earlier if you are knocked unconscious, unable to move or if you are no longer engaged in two-weapon fighting.

In addition, you can forgo one of your attacks made as part of a flurry of blows or flurry of swords to use this feature without requiring a bonus action. You must still spend the ki point to do so.

Slashing Waltz

At 6th level, you increase the deadliness of your strikes and agility of your steps. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an attack with a weapon made as part of a Flurry of Swords, you can use your reaction to move up to your movement speed. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks from the creature you have hit just before taking this reaction.

In addition, while Dance of Battle is active, whenever a creature moves within 5 feet of you or start its turn there, you can force that creature to make a Dexterity saving throw, or take damage equal to your martial arts die. The damage type is the same of the type on the weapon. You can cause this damage once in each turn, a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and can't do it again until you start another dance of battle.

Dance of Death

At 11th level, you reach mastery in your blade dancing, and gain control over the dance of death technique. You can take a Flurry of Swords by spending 1 ki points, rather than 2.

In addition, whenever you use Dance of Battle by forgoing one of your attacks granted by Flurry of Swords, you don't spend extra ki.

Sublime Dance

At 17th level, you reach the peak of your performance. Whenever Dance of Battle is active, you don't spend ki points to use Step of the Wind. In addition, whenever you miss an attack with a weapon while engaged in two-weapon fighting, you can use your reaction to reroll that attack.
