Way of the Almighty Body (5e Subclass)
Way of the Almighty Body[edit]
Monk Subclass
The path of the almighty body is the gateway for monks who wish to protect everything and everyone around them. It focuses on mastering control of your ki, dilating or focusing it on specific parts of the body.
- Hardened Ki Flow
Your body has a constant flow of ki surrounding it. making it more resistant and dangerous.
- You can deal force damage with your unarmed attacks instead of bludgeoning.
- You can use Constitution, rather than Dexterity or Wisdom (whichever is lower), for your unarmored defense.
- Almighty Strike
At 3rd level, once per turn, you can forgo an unarmed attack to unleash an Amighty Strike. On a hit, you cause the regular damage of your unarmed strike, plus additional damage equal to two rolls of your martial arts die and your enemy must make a Strength saving throw against your ki save DC. On a failure, it is shoved 30 feet back.
At 11th level, the damage of this feature increases to three rolls of your Martial Arts die.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. While you have no uses available, you can spend 1 ki point to use this feature again.
- Mystical vitality
Starting at 6th level, due to your control of the ki mesh over your body, incredible effects take place. You gain the following benefits:
- Your unarmored AC increases by 2
- Your hit point maximum increases by 12 and by an additional 2 for every level up in this class
- Your movement speed increases by an additional 10 feet
- Focused Ki Strikes
Starting at 11th level your unarmed strikes gain a +3 bonus to attacks and damage rolls (not cumulative with magical items that grant the same benefit). In addition, whenever you use your Almighty Strike without spending ki points, you can use Flurry of Blows without spending ki, until the end of this turn.
- The Almighty Body
Starting at 17th level, you gain the following benefits:
- Your unarmed strikes ignore any resistances or immunities
- All of your Almighty Strikes are made with advantage
- You regain all uses of your Almighty Strike at the end of a short rest.
