Way of Flowing Water (5e Subclass)
Way of Flowing Water[edit]
Monk Subclass
Monks who follow this way learn to feel an move along the current rather then against it. They know how they can reach their goal by swimming along the current of Ki that is always present. They feel the distortions in it and are schooled in what they mean.
Ki-Flow:
When you choose this subclass at 3rd level you learn to read the natural flow of Ki in your sourroundings which helps you at noticing things arround you.
You get a +5 bonus to perception and gain proficency in it as well as in persuasion and insight. Your proficency bonus is doubled for any check you make with those abilites.
You gain Blindsight with a range of 10ft.
Flowing Defense:
At 6th level you learn to read the Ki-flow even in dangerous situations which allows you to perform deeds in combat others could never dream of.
If an Attack misses you in you can redirect that attack towards an other creature within 5 feet and give +5 to the attack against that creature.
You can do so no more than twice per turn.
At 11th Level you can do so 4 times and an unlimited amount of times starting at 17th Level.
Feel the Flow:
Starting at 11th Level you learn to remember the floe of things which gives repeated attacks at you less of an effect.
If you use your Flowing Defense feature to redirect an attack all other attacks of the creature whose attack you redirectet have disadvatage until an other creature attacks you (it doesn't have to hit).
Follow the Flow:
When you reach 17th Level you learn to move along the natural flow of Ki.
You can spend 1-3 Ki points to extend your movement Speed by 5ft. per Ki point (this speed is also doubled of you take the dash action), while haveing this extra movement speed you can spend an additional Ki point to be able to move through an other creatures space as if it was difficult terrain until the end of your turn.
You gain a swimming Speed equal to your Walking Speed and you can use 1.5 times your dexterity modifier (rounded down) when calculation your armorclass using your unarmored defense.
