Warden of Hearts[edit]

Warlock Subclass

Many words exist for the heart yet one thing remains constant. The heart is considered the spiritual center by mystics, dreamers, poets, and the like. For most, this concept is merely metaphorical; however, for a select few, the strength of the heart not only exists as a power to be wielded but as something to be protected and nurtured.

The Wardens are a selective brotherhood that protects hearts from forces seeking to corrupt them and channels the power of their hearts and the hearts of others to perform magic.

Unlike other Warlocks who form deals with otherworldly entities or being with great power, a Warden of Hearts is patronized by the heart of the First Warden who guides them in the ways of the Warden and teaches them to utilize the power of the heart. They weave their power into a form of martial combat and spiritual prowess.

Little is known about the First Warden. He seldom speaks to his Wardens instead guiding them through dreams and subtle insights of the heart. Some scattered records hint that the First may have learned how to utilize his heart's power from a mysterious entity who wandered the planes while others speculate he learned how to utilize his power purely through talent and self-discovery. The brotherhood's creed stems from the history of his actions and legacy.
