Wack Gnome (5e Subrace)
Gnome Subrace[edit]
Gnomes hit with a spark of wild magic, wack gnomes are known for being much more exploratory as well as being larger pranksters and users of less intellectual magic. In spite of this, most wack gnomes sport the same stature and body shape as your average gnome and are near indistinguishable from other gnomes. One exception to this is the speed in which their hair grows being even faster than most gnomes, meaning the youngest of them may already have a full beard and mustache, and the oldest are dragging it behind them like a bride’s dress.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Forceful Burst. You can cause an extension of yourself or your magical presence to appear and attack for you. When you deal damage, you can choose to replace the main damage type with magical Force damage. If the damage affects multiple creatures, you may only choose one to be affected by forceful burst. You can use this trait once, regaining use after you finish a short or long rest.
Wild Gambit. Before making the first attack roll on your turn in which you do not already have advantage or disadvantage, you can call a wild gambit and flip a coin. If it lands on heads, you roll with advantage on all attack rolls until the end of your turn. If it lands on tails, you roll with disadvantage on all attack rolls until the end of your turn. If a coin is unavailable, use a d4 treating odd numbers as heads and even numbers as tails.
