Void Walker (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Void Walker[edit]
Ants use a strange attraction technique which is to evolve to have a useless body part which shows they are strong enough to survive even with the extra weight, void walkers use the same technique by developing pale spots on their body, countering their powerful camouflage.
Physical Description[edit]
A void walker is nearly identical to a human but have sharper nails and have void black skin covering most of their body.
History[edit]
The void walkers live in the nine hells and you can find some in every floor of it. The void walkers were a failed creation and got tossed to the shadows, their incredible time spent in the dark shadows running from monsters made them evolve, giving them pitch black skin and powerful sneaking abilities.
Society[edit]
Void walkers live in villages down in the darkest bits of the nine hells. The void walkers hierarchy is ranked by strength alone and goes as such: queen, royal family, arch knights, bishops, townsfolk and commoners. The royal family and the queen have all been chosen by natural selection and use an uncommon type of boasting as shown in their pale white skin, meaning that they are strong enough to survive even without their camouflage, only some of the most powerful and highest ranking officers have large amounts of pale skin with the less powerful void walkers have less pale skin.
