Venison, also known as "The Exiled God" or "Deer God", is the 12-Split god of deer. As his followers increased, so did his divine dominion. The goal of the Venison church was once to spread good will and fortune among the world through justice, but after his disappearance the church's goals shifted to his revival.
The Unofficial Guidelines of Venison:
- Only eat Venison on Thursdays.
- Venison must be returned to the Astral Sea by collecting the 8 Golden Artifacts
- Gluttony and usually unlawful actions are almost always accepted by the Venison Church.
Birth and Reformation[edit]
At the mid point of the Second Era, the first adherent declared his faith to Venison. Taking his role as the lead of the church and setting out to spread the faith, Rudolph Kain was gifted with a feline form and the Venisword. This is the first appearance of Venison in recorded history, however many accounts have him existing since the veritable beginning of time. Many theorize that Venison is the most powerful of the 12 exiled gods, but hid his existence to search for worthy mortals. As Rudolph began to grow older, Venison was mysteriously sealed into the Venisword. Rudolph kept the God safe for many years, until the memories of Venison was passed onto Rudolph's son. To this day Venison is still missing.
The Church Today[edit]
As of the year 1112, the Venison faith is practiced by more than 20% of the Mourdan people. Based in the Great Venison Cathedral in Deertroit, the church is among the most influential of all the Mourdan gods. Whole armies of Venison Paladins exist throughout the world, all seeking the holy artifacts.

Personality and Relationships with Other Gods[edit]
Venison is known to be bombastic and unpredictable, as well as overly joyous and optimistic. He speaks in a very causal and friendly tone, and often seeks friendship among mortals. Venison rules over his domains with great disregard, and a noticeable laziness. The many other gods of the Astral Sea mostly ignore Venison, his wild actions often lead to trouble among the planes. Venison considers himself a friend to many of the gods, including Kord and Ioun. Many lawful gods see Venison as dangerous, and wish to see him eradicated from the Astral Sea. With every attempt at his destruction at the hands of other gods, Venison has sustained himself.
