Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: This race is still under construction and needs more Fluff. A race page is almost never complete when first created. For guidance, see the 5e Race Design Guide.

Vegfolk Traits[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 2 and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Age. Vegfolk are the result of magical interference. They are mature if the vegetable is fully grown when a Vegfolk is created, and they age at the same rate as humans. Few Vegfolk live past the age of 80.
Alignment. Vegfolk are a neutral race.
Size. Vegfolk are medium sized.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Nature link. You can communicate with all plants but only enough to ask simple questions or give simple commands. You also have advantage on charisma checks with plants or plant-based creatures.
Photosynthesis. If you complete a short rest in bright sunlight, you heal up to your maximum HP. You also gain a +2 bonus to perception checks and CON saves in bright sunlight.
Back to Your Roots. During combat, if you are in an area of soil/grass, you can root yourself into the ground. Choose a radius of 10ft that you can see, that area becomes difficult terrain for 10 minutes. When you take this action, your speed is reduced to 0ft and you can only take bonus actions or reactions on your turn. You can only use this ability once and you regain use after a long rest or a successful Photosynthesis.
Nature's Bounty. Your vegetable body is a constant source of health. You can heal any creature of your choice up to their maximum HP if they take a bite of you. Roll 2d6, subtract it from your own HP, and add it to the other creature's HP.
Plant-Based. You gain proficiency in the Nature and Survival skills.
Regrow. When your HP reaches 0 or below, you can either roll death saves as normal, or you can choose to remain in a vegetative state until you are returned to the veg plot where you were first grown and complete a long rest - this is a guaranteed resurrection.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Terran.
