Valan Elf (5e Subrace)
From D&D Wiki
Never have the Elves of the Isle of Valan been any similar to their southern cousins. They are proud people. Never have they lived in forests or on trees, but living in their small wooden towns surrounded by mountains and plains, many kilometres away from any human life, but always close to their nemesis Fell Orcs. For generations, these Elven warriors have been battling Fell Orcs in hope that they will one day prevail, and wipe these abominations from the existence. Their life is simple but harsh. If you are not worth their time, patience, or compassion than you will probably be dead before you even know it. Every individual in their small communities has its own values, and they don't accept those that they will not have any use of, even if it is their own kin. A stranger is very likely to end up either dead or gravely wounded if it crosses paths with any of the Valan Elf matriarchs.
