Using AI to Make Adventures (5e Sourcebook)/Campaigns
From D&D Wiki
In this test, I want to see if a novel new campaign can be created, avoiding normal fantasy tropes.
My first strategy is to choose an existing work, unrelated to medieval fantasy, and instruct that a campaign introduction be written, then expanding this with history, cosmology and so on.
Here are some examples.
The House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski[edit]
A campaign world for 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons.
Introduction[edit]
The players are part of a group of adventurers who have been hired to investigate a strange house that appeared on the outskirts of the city of [city name]. The house is a large but plain looking building, with a red door. It is a few stories tall and has a basement. The house has appeared in the middle of the night, into a vacant lot.
The place where the house has appeared is just outside of the city. It is in a relatively unpopulated area, where many of the citizens of the city travel to get away from the noise and bustle of the city. There are a few houses and farms in the area, but most of the land is forested.
The house has a strange aura to it. The players will not be able to feel this at the start of the campaign, but it will become more evident later on. The aura is a feeling of dread, of an overwhelming sense of dread.
History[edit]
The house has appeared in the area a few times, at least once in the last one hundred years. It would appear in the middle of the night, in a vacant lot. Over the next few days, people would start to disappear, but no one thought to look at the house. Eventually, the house would just disappear in the middle of the night. Once the house disappeared, the disappearances stopped and the people who had disappeared returned.
There is a group of people who have been studying the house, hoping to find out what it is and how to stop it.
Player Characters[edit]
The player characters are part of a group of adventurers who have been hired to investigate a strange house that appeared on the outskirts of the city.

- You are a member of a group of scholars and researchers who have been studying the house for many years.
- You know a lot about the house and have a lot of theories about what it is and what it does.
- You are not an adventurer, but you are an expert on the house.
Victim of the House[edit]
- You were abducted by the house at some point in the past.
- You were brought to the house and were lost in its halls.
- You were able to make your way out of the house, but you do not know how you were able to do this.
- You were traumatized by your ordeal and you do not remember much of what happened while you were in the house.
- You are looking to find out what happened to you while you were in the house.

Locations[edit]
The inside of the house is a series of twisting corridors and rooms. They are always changing. The corridors are often narrow and long. The rooms are small and always dark. The inside of the house is always dark, except for the occasional lit candle. The house is a strange place. It has many rooms, but the rooms are not always in the same place. The house will try to confuse the players and make them lose their way.
- The Yellow Room. There is a small room that is always lit by a single candle. The walls of the room are covered in a yellow wallpaper. The room is filled with furniture and other objects. The room is very cluttered and it is difficult to move around. The more people look around the room, the more confused they will become. They will lose track of time and they will lose track of what they are doing. Adventurers will have a hard time remembering what they were doing before they entered the room. The room is important because it is the key to understanding the house. If adventurers can get through the room, they will learn a lot about the house and they will be able to stop it.
- The Basement. The basement of the house is dark and damp. It is filled with a large hole in the middle of the floor. The hole is deep and filled with a greenish-grey liquid. The liquid smells like rotten eggs. The liquid is very sticky and it is hard to move through it. The basement is the most important room in the house. It is the center of the house's power. The basement is the source of the house's power and it is where the house gets its power from. The house is able to create a portal to another dimension.

The tentacles are creatures that live in the basement of the house. They are large, black creatures that look like they are made of shadow. They are able to move through walls and are able to make themselves invisible. They are able to speak, but they have no knowledge of the outside world. They are very hostile to outsiders and will attack them on sight. The tentacles are able to move through walls and are able to make themselves invisible.

The room is large, but there is no furniture. The players can see themselves, but they do not see their reflections.
The Hellbound Heart, by Clive Barker[edit]
A horror game world for Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition.
Introduction[edit]
In the world of _The Hellbound Heart_, there is a world parallel to our own, where demons and angels exist. This world is called the Labyrinth, and it exists in another dimension. Demons are not necessarily evil, and angels are not necessarily good. They are merely creatures of the Labyrinth. When they come to our world, they are called to fulfill their nature. An angel will come to our world to do good, or to stop evil. A demon will come to our world to do evil, or to stop good.
There is a prophecy that when the Labyrinth is full of evil, the Cenobites will come to our world. The Cenobites are the demons of the Labyrinth. They are not evil, but they are not good either. They are the angels of pain, and they bring the pleasures of pain to anyone that summons them. The Cenobites only come to our world through a Lament Configuration, a puzzle box that can only be opened by someone that desires to summon them.
History[edit]
The world of the Labyrinth is called Phantom. It is a world where angels and demons coexist. They are called to do good or evil, but do not have the ability to do the opposite.
Long ago, angels and demons were at war with each other. They each wanted to prove that their way was the best way. It was a war of good versus evil, and the angels and demons were the only ones that suffered for it.
After a long time, the war stopped. Both sides were tired of fighting, and wanted to live in peace. They made a peace treaty, and agreed that they would never war with each other again.
The angels wanted to make sure that the demons would never go back on their word. They made a place in Phantom, called the Labyrinth. The Labyrinth is a place where the demons can feel pain and pleasure.
The angels knew that if the demons were in the Labyrinth, they would never be able to go back on their word. The demons are too busy feeling the pleasures and pains of the Labyrinth to fight a war.
The angels allowed the demons to get out of the Labyrinth, in order to come to our world. They knew that if the demons were allowed to come to our world, they would do good and evil things. This would help keep the world in balance.
The demons wanted to make sure that the angels would never go back on their word. They made a seal for the Labyrinth. The seal is a puzzle box called the Lament Configuration.
The demons knew that if the Lament Configuration is opened, the Labyrinth would fill with evil, and the Cenobites would come to our world. The Cenobites are the demons of the Labyrinth, and they would make sure that the angels could never go back on their word.
Locations[edit]
The Labyrinth[edit]
The Labyrinth is a vast maze of rooms and corridors, filled with doors to other worlds. The Labyrinth is infinite. The only way to get through the Labyrinth is to find doors to other worlds, and use them to travel to the other world.
In the Labyrinth, there is a house known as the House of Pain. In the House of Pain, there are many rooms, each with their own purpose. Some rooms are for physical pain, some are for emotional pain, and some are for mental pain. The House of Pain is home to the Cenobites. The Cenobites come to our world when the House of Pain is full of pain.
The Labyrinth is a world where demons and angels coexist. It is a place of pain and pleasure, where demons go to feel the pains and pleasures of their existence. The Labyrinth is a place that is outside of time and space. It is a place where the laws of physics do not work the same way as in our world. It is a place where demons and angels can exist, and can do things that can not be done in our world. The Labyrinth is a place where the demons can feel pain and pleasure. It is a place where the demons can be safe, because the angels can not hurt them. The angels made the Labyrinth as a way to keep the demons from going to war with them. The Labyrinth is a place where the demons can do anything they want to. It is a place where the demons can do good or evil, without any consequences. The demons do not have to worry about being punished for doing good or evil, because they are in the Labyrinth, and can not be punished.
