Welcome to D&D Wiki![edit]
- Welcome!
Hello Zyanya, and welcome to D&D Wiki. I hope you have been enjoying this site, and I hope you have been finding the information here on D&D Wiki useful. I am an admin (and, actually, the owner as well) here on D&D Wiki along with a couple other people who make up "The Face" of D&D Wiki. Everything relating to admins can be found here.
- Questions
If you have any question about D&D Wiki, D&D, formatting on D&D Wiki, what day today is, or whatever, an admin will, many times, give a good answer. Please feel free to ask any admin any question (ask me a question!).
- Formatting
Formatting on D&D Wiki (or any wiki for that matter) can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain the basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Again, if you have any questions about formatting on D&D Wiki please ask them as, I imagine, anybody will be more than happy to help you get them answered.
- Community
A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I am sure you will find it rather nice. Most discussions take place on content talk pages, however please feel free to walk into The Tavern (our local chat room) and talk to some fellow D&D Wikians. Anyway, on D&D Wiki, possibly since discussions are never deleted, people try to be nice. This means please follow Wikipedia's guidelines on Civility and Etiquette when discussing anything. And, if an argument does arise, please use Wikipedia's Dispute Resolution to make sure everyone comes out happy. Also, on a pretty different note, to ensure people know who posted what, please sign your name after a post with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon. This will automatically produce your name and the date. Anyway, I hope you come to love the close-knit D&D Wiki community and welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Green Dragon 16:54, 26 December 2008 (MST)
Campaign Setting[edit]
I noticed that you're compiling alot of the information from your own wiki to this one. Thats great. If you need any help brining anything over just let us know. Looks like a well-developed setting. Hooper talk contribs email 08:50, 22 December 2008 (MST)
- I'd say the only thing I'd alter is the navigation to make it easier for a user to browse around the setting. If this is going to be all you pull over for a bit I'll try to use my sandbox and kind of come up with an idea. Endhaven (3.5e Campaign Setting) and Valgora are some examples of how the predominant D&Dwiki navigation looks for settings. However, just because I'd do that doesn't make it right. So I'll sandbox it and if you like it you can steal it if not no problem. This really looks like a great setting. (I'll message you when I have something to look at in the sandbox. Be later tonight at earliest - work sucks) Hooper talk contribs email 11:09, 22 December 2008 (MST)
- You can see a rough idea of "home page" layout that I think of at User:Hooper/ValgoraSandBox. It is in its extremely rough and early stages and just thoughts. You'll still see a few bits of erroneous Valgora links that I haven't removed yet. Just something to get an idea. When people search Zyanya it'll come to a page like this. Then they can click on subpages. I can make the breadcrumbs and all that work if you like it. If you don't, just say so. Not a big deal. Also, just curious about a naming question. What is the homeo way of saying Zyanya? I.E. My home campaign is Valgora but when I want to say "this character is from valgora" I say "this is a Valgorian character." Is there a Zyanya version of this? i.e. "Zyanyan character"? Hooper talk contribs email 20:33, 22 December 2008 (MST)
- Just a note. Adding the breadcrumbs I noticed that on your Zyanya Religion page it appears as if the "regional" and "racial" titles need to be switched. I could be wrong just wanted to let you take a glance. Hooper talk contribs email 08:21, 23 December 2008 (MST)
