User talk:Quincy/Assassin Suit (5e Equipment)
This has the kind of numeric bonuses that aren't really done in 5e. Marasmusine (talk) 05:28, 9 March 2016 (MST)
Agreed. The only problem is, I'm not terribly sure how to change it to be more fitting without removing most of what made this armor unique. Any ideas? L0gixIII (talk) 10:34, 10 March 2016 (EST)
Shouldn't be its own "armor"[edit]
If you can spend 300 gp to get just the special benefits (tinker-less hidden blade installation and speed benefit) without any Armor Class, then at that point it would be cheaper to just wear studded leather at the same time to get the 12 AC.
I think it would be better to entirely dismantle this into, for example:
- 150-gp assassin boots with "While wearing these boots, you have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed on soft surfaces such as earth or wood."
- 150-gp assassin bracers with "While wearing these bracers, you don't need tinker's tools to equip hidden blades."
Better yet, remove the second one and just make a 150-gp-more-expensive version of the hidden blade that doesn't require tinker's tools to equip.
Based on the description I think it's entirely reasonable to be able to mix and match the components, and this would spare us a mostly-redundant homebrew armor entry. —Proton[talk] 05:24, 24 October 2016 (MDT)
