Welcome to D&D Wiki![edit]

Welcome!

Hello Lucius West and welcome to D&D Wiki! I hope you have been enjoying D&D Wiki and I hope you have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing, it is recommended that you make sure your user preferences match your preferences.

Questions

If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that page's talk page. If you have a D&D-related question, you can ask it on DnD Discussions. Everything relating to D&D Wiki's administration can be found here. If your question does not fit into one of the above possibilities or you need to contact another user please use their talk page.

Formatting

Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Help pages also provide help in areas that have been decided as requiring additional explanation.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I am sure you will find it rather nice. To enable the community to function policies are in effect. Most importantly, follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything and do not delete content. Also, to ensure people know who posted what, please sign your name after a post with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (Signature icon.png). This will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community, you are now a D&D Wikian. SgtLion (talk) 08:28, 18 August 2016 (MDT)

Hiya!~[edit]

As above, welcome to dandwiki! I'm an admin and active user here - If you need anything, you can leave a message on my talk page, you can also contact another admin by their talk pages, or somebody on our Helper list. You may have to wait a day or so for a reply, but we're a friendly bunch, so don't feel shy if you're unsure about something. We look forward to any contributions you have. Article issues[edit]

Hi Lucius - I noticed you were having issues with Enduring Hide (4e Equipment). Your summary indicated you wanted in 4e, not 3.5e? As far as I can see, it is in 4e by all respects. Could you clarify what problem you're having? Thankee~ --SgtLion (talk) 08:28, 18 August 2016 (MDT)

I've managed to sort it now. It's no longer appearing on 3.5e Mundane Armor, and appears on 4e Mundane Armor. The Category:DnD makes it appear on 3.5e lists, because of confusing terminology, and the Category:Supplement was stopping it frmo appearing on the 4e Mundane Armors list. I've removed both of those. --SgtLion (talk) 08:57, 18 August 2016 (MDT)

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Template:3.5e_Feat I was looking at the to do and this just doesn't seem right...

Campaign[edit]

I started a new campaign today and I have a few questions:
1) I was looking at the Endhaven campaign and I was wondering what little bit of code they used to make the front page how it is. (With all the links to everything)? Basically I want to know the code and whether or not I can make the links and then the page it links to or do I need to make the page and then link to it?
2) Second Question: So i've been looking around the meta pages and I have see a lot of abandoned/delete/unbalanced/etc pages that nobody has tried to fix. Could I use some of these (probably modified) in my campaign?
Thanks,
Lucius West

Hi Lucius - Y'lucky I'm watching your talk page. You can sign your posts by ending them with ~~~~, for the record.
You can make links before making the page (that's what red links mean). You can see everything they've done to make the page look like it has by clicking the 'edit' button on top, and just looking at the code. If you really wanted, you could copy-paste that code, and simply change all the page-names and such to fit your own campaign.
Secondly, yeah, we've got a lot of needs improvement pages. Everything on this wiki is subject to reuse/editing/whatever, please feel free to use any articles you wish as part of your campaign (I would actually encourage you to directly edit the article so it's been improved, and then link to it via your campaign pages, but do whatever feels comfortable).
Feel free to let me know if there are any other issues. --SgtLion (talk) 10:45, 19 August 2016 (MDT)

Thanks for the help. :) Delete the campaign plz, I just don't have the time to work on it and it will be awhile before I do. Me nd some friends are trying to make a medieval fantasy game and I just don't have as much time as I ussually do. Thanks --Lucius West (talk) 07:49, 25 October 2016 (MDT)

Some useful websites I have found...[edit]

www.codeacademy.com-Teaches a lot of different coding including html.

categories[edit]

Hello Lucius West, please can you add some categories to the pages relating to your campaign? They also need renaming to include (Age of Legends Setting). For example, Kings needs to be moved to Kings (Age of Legends Setting) and should include these categories: Category:3.5eCategory:UserCategory:Age of Legends. Thanks! Marasmusine (talk) 04:52, 21 September 2016 (MDT) ok, sorry im kind of busy, learning code and trying to put together a club thx--Lucius West (talk) 08:04, 6 October 2016 (MDT)
