The Revenge of Ytrairom

This campaign I’m using one of the systems called Lore with some home brew mechanics added. The setting is my combination of marvel and dc taking place in the worlds of Guardians of the Galaxy, Green Lantern, Nova and others like them. I’m GMing for three players, and running a backstory game for each of them.

Session 0.1

This game is the backstory of who I’ll refer to as Medic (I won’t use anyone’s real name) he is a human doctor from earth 1234 (the game takes place in universe 1234 which is my own setting) his character had a late 20s crisis causing him to believe he owns NASA after he sold it to himself on the internet. With one of “his” newly acquired shuttles he flew to/crashed on the moon. He space walked in a barely functional suit noticing moss and rodents for about fifteen minutes until he stumbled into a bunker. Upon entering he saw several old Soviet Union markings and signs of abandonment (I should probably mention both he and his character are American and don’t speak or read Russian[I should probably also mention I parentheses to much]). He went back to his ship and tried to repair it with the help of his ships ai. After weeks of solitude he docked with another earth ship desperate for more air, food and qualified mechanics. The lone passenger was... an orthodontist, who was so inspired by medic stealing NASA that he did the same to another space exploration company. The two of them had a conversation about the bunker and Medic takes Orthodontist there. Medics suit is ripped and he for some reason can still breath. They then notice small green aliens, hoping for peace between them Medic lowers his weapon and raises his hands, the aliens do the same (if you’ve read the ubscure comic book this is lifted from yes this is my version of the subservients). Medic then attempts speaking with them but they just repeat whatever he says. He enters the bunker with Orthodontist and they follow. The orthodontist can read Russian and begins deciphering the journals. After a few hours of deciphering Orthodontist comes to the realization that the Soviets secretly began terraforming the moon during the Cold War (I know the moon is a bad candidate for terraforming this is sci fi remember). He then finds out the Soviets were doing experiments to find the most compliant version of mankind for the communist empire, Medic deduces that the green men were once human test subjects. The Orthodontist and Medic decide to head back to the ship because they are starving and the sun will soon be out forcing them to stay sheltered due to the thin atmosphere. Medic makes the mistakes of eating a ration that fell on his lap, the overly eager to copy aliens, misinterpreted what he was doing and they eat their own loin clothes. Needless to say Medic almost dies of laughter and embarrassment. By the time they convince the aliens to put on pants Orthodontist is put off his meal so he, out of habit... flosses, this causes the aliens to rip out their own hair to floss. After the comedic relief is finished Medic explores the planet while Orthodontist studies the journals. Medic finds a ship made by non earth people which he investigates onboard are, What (not a typo) the Kree pilot and Ni the halfworlder junkie mechanic. Medic and five aliens (subservients) join the crew of the ship and head off to sell an earth moon rat to the Collector (who in my setting looks like Col. Sanders) 2b continued...
