Chef's Tools[edit]
Chef Tools At 1st level, you've gained enough proficiency with your tools to the point you can utilize them in combat.
- Mixing Spoon: 1d6 Bludgeoning (light) When attacking you can load a helping of your morsel and attack like a catapult to deal 1d6 damage (Range 20/60). If launched at an ally they can make a Dex check with advantage to eat it as a reaction, gaining any benefits it has.
- Lid: +1 Shield. If an opponent rolls a 1 when attacking you, you may use your reaction to slam the Lid into the target's face, dealing 1d8 Bludgeoning damage. The target then must succeed a DC 15 Strength Saving Throw or be knocked prone.
- Frying Pan: 1d8 Bludgeoning one handed weapon. When you roll a critical strike against an opponent, add an extra 1d8 damage, and the target is stunned for its turn.
- Cleaver: 1d4 Slashing Damage (Finesse, Light). When attacking an enemy that bleeds, this deals an additional 1d4 Slashing Damage. On a critical strike, this has a chance to sever appendages (GM's discretion) of non-magical creatures.
Cook's Bag[edit]
At first level, you craft a Cook's Bag, a bag that magically preserves not only your morsels, but also the ingredients required to make them.
- You must replenish these ingredients at least once every 30 days. When you do so, you can buy 50,000 Jeni worth of food from a market, or you can spend 8 hours scavenging food from your surroundings.
- If you lose this bag, you can create a new one by expending 5 Million Jeni worth of leather, gems and other raw materials. (Doing so takes 8 hours of work.)
Morsels[edit]
Years of cooking have taught you that every meal has that one perfect bite, a morsel where all the ingredients mix together into something truly special. You have learned how to install this morsel with magical effects dependent on the ingredients of the morsel. Targets that ingest your morsels are given these effects.
- You can choose to create 3 morsels from your recipe list, This allows you to grant one effect at a time to a target that ingests it. (You gain more morsels as you level and replace current morsels, refer to the Cook Table)
- You can cook a number of morsels equal to your Constitution Modifier every Short or Long Rest. All of your morsels are stored in your Cook's Bag and will expire if taken out longer than 6 seconds, or the next time morsels are cooked.
- You can utilize your action to feed a morsel to a target, You can feed unconcious targets that are in your touching range. (You must have a free hand to feed a morsel.)
Saving Throws: Some of your morsels require your target to make a saving throw to resist the effect. The DC varies. Morsel save DC = 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Constitution Modifier
If a target does not have a way to ingest your morsel, they gain advantage against any saving throw for the morsel's effect.
Smelling Salts[edit]
At 1st level, you discover a mix of spices that leads to a powerful assault of the nose. You can utilize a Bonus Action to choose one target that is in touching range to wave the spices under their nose, and can repeat it immediately force a saving throw. On the condition of a success, The target may be inflicted with Charmed or Frightened condition.
- Once a target repeats a saving throw, it cannot do so again until it finishes a Short or Long Rest.
- At 7th level, another chosen condition could be the Stunned condition.
- At 13th level, another chosen codition could be the Paralyzed condition.
- At 17th level, the target has disadvantage on the saving throws.
Expertise[edit]
At 2nd level, choose two of your skill profs, or one of your skill profs with cooking utensils. Your prof bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of the chosen profs. At 9th level, you can choose two more.
Cook Archetype[edit]
At 3rd level, you choose an archetype that you emulate in the exercise of your cooking abilites. Your archetype choice gains your features at 3rd level, 6th, 10th, 14th, and 18th level.
Thick Skinned[edit]
At 5th level, you have grown so accustomed to both insult and terrible food that you become resistant to their negative effects.
- Anything involving hearing that would negatively affect you is nullified.
- You have advantage against all charming.
- You have resistance to poison.
Order Up[edit]
At the 7th level, when you make morsels during a long rest, you can make an extra number of addition morsels equal to your Constitution Modifier. At 11th level, you can make these addition morsels during a Short or Long Rest.
Language Barrier[edit]
At the 9th level, due to hours of staring at text and getting reviews from people of all walks of life, you can now understand the basic idea of what any target is saying. You now have advantage on all Insight Checks when using it to understand an unknown language.
- You also learn two additional languages.
Soul of Food[edit]
At 15th level, you have attuned your Nen to nourishing eneriges of the culinary world. You can cast Create Food and Water once you finish a Long Rest. When you do so you create 1,500,000 Jeni worth of food that is not bland, but flavourful and enjoyable.
- In addtion, if you make morsels, and have no ingredients left, you conjure the neccessary ingredients as part of making the morsels.
Fulfilling Meal[edit]
At 17th level, whenever you feed a morsel to a target that you have shared a Long Rest with (Including yourself), you can double the duration of the morsel's effect. (No Limit)
Leftovers[edit]
At 20th level, when you roll initiative and have no morsels left, you conjure one morsel that you know how to preapre inside your Cook's Bag.
Sous Chef[edit]
The archetypal Sous Chef believes that their allies are more than worthy of their cooking. They have proven that their stomachs can make the most of the powers instilled in morsels, and a Sous Chef will use that power to safeguard their health at all costs.
We Deliver[edit]
At 3rd level, you become a caretaker of heroes, ready at any moment to help your allies! When you feed a morsel to a willing target (Up to 30ft) you can throw it into their mouth and they ingest it immediately.
- Additionally, when you feed a morsel to a willing target in touching range you can utilize a bonus action to feed them.
Secret Sauce[edit]
At 6th level, you create a signature sauce that you dab onto all of your benefical morsels. Whenever you feed a morsel to an ally, they regain a number of hit points equal to your Constitution Modifier.
Aromatic Scent[edit]
At 10th level,the continuous consumption of culinary delgiths has infused your body with a thousand revitalizing smells has infused your body with a thousand revitalizing smells that stir your companions to action. As an action you can expel these smells in one powerful wave. All allies (including yourself) in a 30ft radius of you can regain a number of hit points equal to your cook level, and they can each immediately use their reaction to make a single weapon attack or cast one bonus action. You must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
Magnificent Meal[edit]
At 14th level, you can prepare a magical feast that strengthens both body and will. You gain the ability to cast the Heroes' Feast spell. When you do so, you replace the material components of the spell with fine foods worth at least 5,000,000 Jeni which the ability consumes. Once you cast this it goes on cooldown until you finish a Long Rest.
Legendary Morsel[edit]
At 18th level, you gain the abiltiy to make the following morsel when you take a Long Rest. When you do so you can make only one. It doesn't expire until your next Long Rest and doesn't count against the total number of morsels you can prepare.
Monkey's Brains: The well-seasoned brains of the world's most capable simians. For 10 minutes, if the target fails a saving throw, they can choose to succeed instead. If they choose to do so, this morsel's effect ends.
