Tenacious[edit]
Starting at 3rd level, a shepherd's tenacious spirit is shown. It takes patience and hard work tilling fields, fixing equipment, herding stock and that tenacity bolsters a shepherd's endurance in combat. After initiative has been rolled, a shepherd gets a number of temporary hit points equal to their fighter level. In addition, at the beginning of the shepherd's turn, they gain temporary hit points equal to their fighter level. Also, you no longer suffer levels of exhaustion.
[edit]
Also at 3rd level, while you were dragged into the world of combat and warfare, the world didn't drag your desire for farming out. You've learned how to quickly grow plants for the benefit of your companions.
Fertile Lands[edit]
The ground you walk on magically turns to soil that is suitable for plant life. The appearance of the ground is unchanged, and it still requires sowing for anything to grow.
In addition, you may target an unoccupied space within 30 feet and as a bonus action turn the ground into fertile ground.
Plants sowed in your fertile grounds do not require water or sunlight to grow.
Harvest[edit]
You can grow various plants with magical effects in fertile soil. As an action, choose an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you that contains fertile soil, and create a plant. The plant is finished growing at the start of your next turn.
You may only have a number of plants equal to your proficiency bonus at one time.
Any creature within 5 feet of the plant may use a bonus action to consume the fruit of the plant and gain its benefits for 1 round.
Husbandry[edit]
Being a shepherd isn't all about plants. There's livestock to tend too. You gain Animal Handling and Nature, and have advantage on Ride checks.
