The Primeaelos[edit]

From the spellplague comes the Primeaelos and from the Primeaelos comes another spellplague. This cycle shall not and cannot be broken until the first and most ancient Primeaelos is destroyed, yet its might eclipses that of its strongest child by more than 15,000% and neither god nor leviathan nor titan nor Hos'ri-ein has ever dared challenge this ultimate lord of darkness.

Armor Class The Primeaelos is the first to rise from the darkness before creation, its every scale bears an ac of 100+ total party ac; each scale must be destroyed before its flesh can be targeted. Scales have 50 hp, and the flesh beneath has an ac of 65+total party ac
Hit Points The Primeaelos has several health bars; each so massive that any player to completely destroy one health bar, gains a level. Each bar is worth 45,000hp, and its total number is 75+ 1 for every 10 hitpoints from every player in the party. Health bars cannot be completely destroyed with a single strike, and if a player deals enough damage to do so, the remainder is dealt back to the players, while the Primealos heals by the amount that would have harmed it, gaining new health bars as needed. (The Primeaelos has no variation; it is the first and only known specimen to this world, yet born of the spellplague, it creates such plagues wherever it walks, and from these rise new Primeaelos, repeating the cycle across a thousand thousand planes.)

Fiery Raven Breath Attack: +100 to hit, reach 5,000 ft., one creature. Hit: X (hp reduced to 0) damtype physical damage.

Vampiric Strike Physical Attack: Str vs Ref +100 to hit, reach 5,000 ft., one creature. Hit: X (hp reduced by half. On success Primeaelos regains one health bar) damtype vampiric damage.

Melee Attacks

  • Touch of Death: +100 vs ac: reach 25 tiles. On hit: target takes the death and dying saves.
  • Chaotic Riposte: Immediate Interrupt (triggered by a critical hit dealt against the Primeaelos). Effect: the damage dealt by this critical hit are instead returned to the player (who takes a fortitude save DC=10+1 for every 2 points of damage. Success= half damage).

The Primeaelos has as many actions as a player (4) +1 for each player in the party, +2 for each level thirty(in the case of Hos'ri-ein [1] who can level past thirty, the Primeaelos gains +1 actions for each multiple of thirty, i.e level 60=+2 level 90=+3). The Primeaelos always has the initiative.


  • All attacks require a combo to dodge (modifier of 1,000 is broken into 10 checks of over 100 on a d100+1d20 where one failure means total failure. No attack can be broken down such that the player must roll anything less than 100). The Primeaelos has 2 attacks per action.


Thunder rings across Faerun, a single wordless cry that burns through the air as the sky peels back, revealing the bleak, starless vault beyond. Scales of mottled grey and white sparkle beneath the Sun, twin eyes of molten copper burning into the earth and striking fear into your heart.

  • The Primeaelos has cast the seeds of life many centuries past, and now, at last, it has returned for the harvest. Players are given the option to fight or flee to the one plane beyond the Primeaelos' grasp; they must choose: save as many races as possible, or fight against the god among gods. If the players run without extending a hand to the races of Faerun, they will all find themselves alone in a world beyond civilization, a lone point of light amid blackest night, a single group of mortals amid sea of monsters.
  • The Primeaelos adapts its tactics to battle any foe, its powers raising to better overcome all threats. However its standard tactics are to batter its foes from afar with its powerful ranged attacks, using its speed to maintain distance. Once its foes close in, it switches to the vast array of melee powers to slash and crush its foes with hands the size of castles, and talons like crystal towers.
