Human?[edit]

Do you demand a face or just want one? A "Human?" Is a person that is shrouded in a cloak and keeps their eyes or all of their face out of view. They all have very odd voices, and talk mostly in blunt and simple terms. Very little is known about these odd creatures. Very little indeed...

Physical Description[edit]

You are a very odd creature. You have skin that is an abnormal color of your choice. Your blood is midnight black and corrodes almost anything it touches (see traits). You also always have your face or eyes covered (see race traits).

History[edit]

Nobody has any idea.

Society[edit]

Who knows?

Human? Traits[edit]

"Are you nervous or scared? Those are your only two options with me!"
Ability Score Increase. +1 WIS, +2 INT
Age. You and your colleagues have no idea how old you are, as you show no signs of ageing.
Alignment. You are Evil.
Size. You are 5 to 9 feet tall.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. When in pitch darkness you travel at 40 feet.
Perfect Darkvision. You can see everything in the dark, including colors, creatures, items, etc. You however have trouble seeing in pure daylight and have only 10 foot vision. When not directly in daylight you have regular vision.
Cowl of Darkness. You wear a black cloak that can be as bulky or as thin as you wish. This cloak is seemingly attached to your skin, and for all your partners know, is permanently attached. You wear a hood at all times, and under the hood is darkness. Natural light does not penetrate, and if light is put directly into the darkness, all that is visible is the light source (ex. if a small candle is put in there, all anyone would see would be the flame); as the light source is pushed inside, the darkness has a tangible resistance, as though compressing a spring, to the point where it is impossible to continue. Any pressure on the darkness is felt by you, and so is not protection. Because of this, you cannot equip helmets. You can however equip circlets and headbands, but only in seclusion away from any other creature.
Embodiment of the Abyss. Upon hitting the ground or exterior object, drops of your blood almost instantaneously evaporate into black smoke, but large quantites evaporate much slower than is porportional, and also is much more corrosive. If some poor vampire attempts to drink your blood, they must make a CON save against 15. On a fail, they take 13d8 necrotic damage per ounce drained, half on a pass.
Exile. You are not exactly normal in look or act, so most people find you freakish or intimidating. You gain the following features,

  • You can either walk or slightly hover over the ground to move.
  • You gain advantage on an attempt intimidate a creature, player, or person of Medium size or smaller.
  • You, for some odd reason, refer to every new person you meet as "Stranger", by their race (i.e. "human"), or by some other general characteristic, such as "mortal", or "man-who-. . .". Upon learning their occupation, you also refer to them by that.
  • You are resistant to intimidation and against being charmed.
  • Due to your unsettling appearance, most people try to avoid you as much as possible, and your mere presence dampens people's willingness to interact with you. In addition, any persuasion roll is at disadvantage.
Tricky Mind. You have advantage on all Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma saving throws, You also have a -5 Mod. on all Strength and Constitution saving throws.
Essence of Evil. You are considered a compatriot until proven otherwise by Demons, Undead, and Devils naturally.
    Languages. Deep speech,
