Summoner[edit]

Two men battle mercilessly in an area. Sweat drips from their faces as their steel sends sparks flying into the dirt. Spectators roar and cheer at the battle of their lifetimes. As the fight wears on, one of the competitors makes a fault in his combat. Instantly, the other challenger, wielding his exotic, curved blade, slips through his opponent's fault and swiftly finishes his opponent.

A woman stands alone in a forest as the horde of goblins begin to encroach on her. She warns them not to come closer. The first goblin to make a move is swept away into the night by a massive shadow. One by one, the goblins disappear with bloody screams, never to be seen again. From the shadows steps a massive K9 with six legs and spines running down its back. Her muzzle is covered in blood and she disappears into a blue light as the women absorbs her daemon back into her mind.

A professor stands in front of his class as he guides his finger through the air. Blue wisps of mana are trailing behind, shaping into intricate glyphs. With a final dose of magic, he activates his runes, sending fire and lightning streaking across the room. A bright bulb of light floats around his head and a shield whisks across the room to protect his class. A soft glow of magic flows from the last rune and heals the burns of those who were hit, leaving no trace of harm.

From nobles and knowledgeable sages to gladiators and warriors, Summoners show deadly proficiency in everything they do. Adept at surviving alone in the woods or commanding armies, they are a force to be reckoned with, no matter which school they study in.

Creating a Summoner[edit]

Here are some questions to keep in mind when creating a Summoner. Why did you learn the art of summoning daemons? How did you learn to harness their mana and fighting spirit? Were you enrolled into an academy by your family or did you stumble across an ancient scroll containing a daemon and now posses power you never bargained for? What is your future as a Summoner?

Quick Build You can make a summoner quickly by following these suggestions. First, your highest score should be whichever summoner school you want to study in, followed by your second and third preferred. Charisma for summoning daemons, Strength for swordsmanship, and Intelligence for spellcasting. Second, choose the Sage background and choose Arcana and any two languages.
