Work In Progress

Versatile Classes. The ones you should probably take.

Simple Classes. The ones you can give to someone who isn't interested in planning or reading.

  • Blaster
  • Brute
  • Destined

Mythical Classes. I will probably never get around to finishing these.

fighters?

  • aviator - flying is so OP it gets to be a class
  • captain - leadership so potent that can't fit into a subclass
  • [champion] - paladins but less defined to one trope
  • ki fighter - Dragon Ball mostly; ki tropes that can't fit in a magician subclass
  • forgemaster/machinist - probably has power armor
  • martyr - Disgaean Clerics, Flagellants from Darkest Dungeon, Sacriers from Wakfu, "i deal damage to myself"; the class which is here to make you feel uncomfortable
  • shifter - wild shape, changeling, lycanthrope, mutagen, abomination
  • shinobi - proof that action economy isn't everything

scouts?

  • alchemist - alchemy spells/tropes that can't fit in a magician subclass. obligatory-but-optional plague doctor motif, of course.
  • investigator - a class devoted to investigation and exploration in a system which doesn't have teleport anywhere i want and you literally are unable to lie to me as spells. some tropes from CoC, nomad, trappers, and antiquarians. possibly too much of its own thing to be a scout subclass.
  • minstrel - bards that actually play music; has a jester subclass; possibly too focused on its own thing to be a subclass
  • teleporter, which probably needs a better name

magicians?

  • chronomancer - as if time manipulation isn't inherently busted
  • necromancer/lich
  • scripter - wizards who are super into scrolls; cast magic by slightly altering the codes of reality. draws from the same spell sources as magicians. while powerful the major drawback is that all their spells take at least an entire round to cast ("takes effect at the start of your next turn").
  • seer/clairvoyant
  • shaman - spiritual spells/tropes that can't fit in a magician subclass; clerics
  • warden - "green" spells/tropes that can't fit in a magician subclass or the sylvan spell list; druids
  • witch - more magic tropes that can't fit in a magician subclass; hexes and covens, hags and charms. more clearly "borrows" (or steals) magic compared to magician. draws from the same spell sources as magicians; can't cast as powerful spells but can cast more often (regains casts with rests instead of only downtime).
  • vessel/summoner
